This Week I…
Happy Sunday everyone! I’m so glad that this past week is over and done with, it was definitely a crazy couple of days. Between back to back exams, quizzes, papers, work and interning, I don’t think I had a single moment of free time until Friday evening. I definitely wouldn’t have made it through without implementing a few of the wellness reminders that I mentioned in a post a few days ago.
One thing I did no a lot of this week was reflect and prioritize. I mentioned in my weekly wishes on Monday that I wanted to keep everything this week as simple and organized as possible. I kept asking myself “why are you stressing this? Is it really a priority?” If the answer was no, then I made a decision to focus on something that would be more beneficial in that moment. Instead of losing sleep and pushing my body to work late nights and then start early each morning, I gave myself bed times, and reminded myself that just because an email didn’t get sent or a post wasn’t written that the world would still spin.
Doing this definitely left me open to being more creative. I wrote a lot of notes-to-self for things that I want to do in the very near future. I’ve started planning for some upcoming projects and I can’t wait to share them with everyone!

+ These photos in this post over at Oh, Joy! definitely got me in a Thanksgiving mood. I love the festive colors and ornaments of the holiday season. Nothing says holiday like a centerpiece on a full table.
+ I’ve been doing a lot of thinking on my obligations vs. things I feel obligated to do in life lately. Jenn over at Hello, Brio read my mind and spoke my thoughts when she blogged about the things you should and shouldn’t do. I’m sure everyone can relate to giving in to life’s “shoulds.”
+ The only word I can find to describe this post from the Flowerchild Dwelling on speaking the truth is: moving. I wanted to stand up and applaud Kelly Ann after I finished reading it! Such a powerful and honest post.
+ I’ve always known Crystal of The Happy Type was amazing, but one of her recent posts sealed the deal. There’s been a lot of buzz on various blogs about an recently published article which more or less promotes victim shaming. Crystal takes a power stance and shares her own victim shaming story. Talk about inspiring and touching.
Have a great Sunday everyone!!!
